2G / 3G BSNL GPRS SETUP
Most of us know that BSNL give free GPRS access to CellOne.in portal.
Surfing is free, downloads are charged. So if you download themes, wallpaper or ringtones etc you will be charged for it.
There is a link for ‘Free Content’ section.
Speed can vary from 80Kbps to 220Kbps (430Kbps theoritical maximum)
For Maximum performance:
1. Use Edge enabled GPRS handset
2. EDGE enabled BTS (tower) coverage area.
3. Internal phone memory must be free to receive the data.
( Delete/Move unnecessary messages / Pictures from phone memory ) 4. Post paid Cellone will give maximum performance since no periodic validity check will not be there.
GPRS is required for:
1.viewing Mobile TV , sending MMS , downloading pictures, ringtones etc
2.surfing the web through handset or by Laptop
(In this case your mobile act as a wireless modem)
3. Vehicle tracking system
4.People finder service
5.Mobile Chat

or to know the available data boosters give a message
'STVDATA' or 'STVGPRS'
to '53733'
You will get reply with available boosters.
In order to activate gprs for your phone follow the steps according to your connection type.
Step1:
a. Prepaid customers choose a data booster plan
then send a message like 'gprs14' or 'gprs89'to 53733 (without quotes).

b.Post paid customers may be required to submit a letter to Commercial Officer/BSNL where you applied for cellone.
Step 2:
Now set your mobile for GPRS Internet service.
Method-I
GPRS setting can be downloaded by sending an SMS as given below.
Text to be send : “Mobilemake ModelNo" ( without quotes )
Eg: nokia 6125
SonyEricssion Xperia 10
Send to : 58355
Save all the four files received in your mobile, and then activate the setting
Switch off/on your mobile to initialize the settings.

to download the settings
Method-III
You can configure your mobile manually from the following information
Manual configuration requires the following “Access point” information
1.Access point for Cellone Portal:
bsnllive
Free browsing for contents like ringtone, games etc
But downloading is chargeable as given in the portal2. Access point for Wap (browing through handset):
bsnlwap
3. Access point for GprsModem ( for using http web and laptop browsing):
bsnlnet
4. Access point for MMS settings
bsnlmms
How to setup GPRS enabled mobile for browsing through Laptop PC?
1. Download the latest “PC suite application” from the Mobile manufacturers website.
2. Use USB cable or Bluetooth to connect the PC with mobile.(USB cable driver CD must be installed)
3. Now click “Internet connection” in your PC suite application Give the access point name as "bsnlnet" and then connect.
4. If PCsuite application not available create a dialer in the PC after installing GPRS modem -driver for your mobile.
Phone Number to dial : *99#
Username: Mobile number (Optional)
Password: Mobile Number
Step3:
Make some bookmarks in your mobile web browser for quick access to web.Following are some bookmarks you must have.
1. gmail.com/app
(Download gmail application for faster mail access)
2. mobile.rediff.com
3. wap.rediff.com
4. m.google.com
5. m.yahoo.com
6. wap.sancharnet.in
7. wap.cellone.in

Postpaid customers can send sms 'amt' to 333
Prepaid customers can dial the number *123*06# or *123*09#

send sms like 'data2G' or 'data3G' to 53733
